Corsica Airports
Show airport in: Ajaccio (1), Bastia (2), Calvi (3), Figari (4).
There are four airports in Corsica. The biggest one is Campo dell Oro Airport in Ajaccio, followed by Poretta Airport in Bastia. Two minor airports are located in Calvi and Figari.
Ajaccio Airport
Aéroport de Ajaccio Campo dell'Oro (AJA) is the largest international airport in Corsica. It is located 6km (4 miles) south of the city centre. Campo Dell'Oro is the main base of regional airline CCM Airlines, which operates services to continental France. A hourly shuttel buses link the airport, ferry port and city centre, tickets cost 3-5 €, and the journey takes about 15 minutes. You can expect to pay about 25-30 € for a taxi.
Bastia Airport
Aéroport de Bastia-Poretta (BIA) is the second largest airport in Corsica. It is located about 16 km (10 miles) south of Bastia city centre. A shuttle bus goes from Bastia airport to the city centre (opposite the train station) almost every hour for 8 €, except in the evening where the interval is bigger. The last bus leaves at 22:45. The journey by bus takes 30 minutes. A taxi will cost about 30-35 €.
More details provides Jeff Steiner's website about Bastia Airport.
Calvi Airport
Sainte Catherine Aeroport in Calvi (CLY) is one of the smaller Corsican airports. It is located about 7 km (4 miles) from the city centre. Calvi airport is a usual starting point for the popular GR20 trek. There is no public transport from the airport to the town. A taxi from the airport to the town centre will cost about 15-20 €.
Figari Airport
Figari Sud Corse Airport (FSC) is located near small town of Figari. Closest larger cities are Bonifacio, Porto-Vecchio and Sartene. Figari Airport used to be the closing point of the GR20 trail. There is no public transport from the airport. A taxi from Figari to Bonifacio will cost about 30-35 €, from Figari to Porto Vecchio from 50-80 €, so car hire is a better option, as well as if you need to get from Figari to Propriano.
