Sending Luggage via train

Wise forum-folk,

I've seen little inklings of people sending non-trail luggage ahead on trains. I've emailed the Train stations, but I'm wondering if others have done it. I am simply trying to avoid taking my duffel used for plane travel onto the trail.

This way, maybe we can leave our fancy dress clothes in there too..

Thanks as always!

Tiffany

Hi all,
I am also interested in sending half a supply of food in a package from Bastia to Vizzavona (by train) so it waits for us there after completing gr20 south. I read somewhere that this is practiced but cannot find it anymore.

Cheers
Bart

Hi all, just returned from Corsica after doing the GR20 S-N. We sent a 10.5kg package from Bastia to Vizzavona by train for 9.6EUR. You can send a package this way to all train stations. We picked it up 5 days later after completing South part. I don't know about luggage, I guess you'd have to pack it in a box.
