Refuges, fuel and cash?
We are planning to start the GR20 from Calanzana on 2 June. Will there be wardens and full services in the refuges at this date? Also what fuel is available in Calanzana and on the route. I have a choice of stoves but would prefer Colemans Butane/Propane gas cylinders. Failing that I assume that Camping Gas will be widely available - is that the case? If neither, it will have to be petrol, is there a petrol station in Calanzana? and Vizzavona?
On a separate point is there an ATM machine in Calanzana to stock up with cash and what about at Vizzavona or elsewhere on route?

For stoves, if you really want to bring one, your best bet is to get a multi-fuel that can use camping gaz. There is a Spar on the main road in Calenzana, pretty close to the trailhead, and they sell gaz. You can also get fuel at the restaurant/bar/store in Vizzavona. For a small fee you can use stoves at the refuges at most stages.
Unless there's a new one in the past year, there are no ATMs in Calenzana. The closest one is in Calvi, so if you are taking the ferry, stop in town before heading to Calenzana. If you are flying, Calvi is in the wrong direction so get your cash before you fly (there is no ATM at the airport). After that you'll find the next ATM after you've finished the trail ;-) Start off with enough cash for the whole trip and you won't have to worry about it.

€15 per person per day should be enough at most stages. A double room at Hotel Castel de Vergio costs around €45, but if you get there early you might be able to get a bed in the gite for about a third of that. There is also a limited number of tent sites. No matter where you sleep, this is probably the most expensive overnight because of limited food options.
If you enjoy a beer or some wine (or cola etc) after the day's walk, plan on bringing a bit more cash. If you are fine with water, you probably won't spend more than €15 a day (not including the snacks and lunch you carry).
