How can I obtain, preferably free of charge, a data file suitable for my Garmin GPS when hiking in July?

Thanks for your quick response, Marek!
What I am looking for is the digital topo MAPS for Corsica, and particularly for the Mare a Mare Centre. I found shareware for parts of Italy on this site: http://xoomer.alice.it/hcgnar/eng.html. This will give you an idea of what I am looking for.

My wife and I are really looking forward to seeing Corsica for the first time and to do the hike.
