Hello,

Can anyone recommend a cheap place for 2 nights (From hotels to camp sites) between Calvi and Bastia?

Thanks

Hello,
There are several good camping places in Calvi. We have stayed in two of them for the odd night and were both OK.
We have stayed a few times for a night, when arriving and leaving the island by ferry from Bastia, at the Hotel Posta-Vecchia a few hundred metres from the ferry-port and is on the edge of the old town. It is and old Hotel probably from the days when the current marina place was the main port for Bastia.
It is two star rated and we found it comfortable and had breakfast there on a few occasions.

Hello,
We have also stayed at the camping at Les Sables Rouges which is 2/3 kls. South of Bastia....between the rail track and the beach. It was towards the end of September 2011 when we used the camping here after a three week walking tour in Corse.
We walked back into Bastia....follow diagonal path up to the old town then down to the Old Port which is now for the sailing boat folks....otherwise you end up at the tunnel for traffic under the old town and harbour...Don't think that can walk through the tunnel.
Easy then to connect then to the Ferry Port.
