Take a look at David's thread. He's asking pretty much the same things about doing the GR20 in September: http://corsica.forhikers.com/forum/p/24895

Taking a lightweight tent will give you more flexibility but it isn't essential. If you want to stay in the refuges, however, you will need to book in advance.

Do you have a guide book? If you do you don't need maps as well. The route is really well marked. If you haven't seen a marker in 2 minutes, you're off route and need to retrace your steps. You can print off good quality map segments from here: http://www.geoportail.gouv.fr/accueil

You can get access to electricity at some stops like Haut Ascu (hotel and refuge), Castellu de Verghio (hotel & refuge), Vizzavona (in the hotels but I'm not sure about the campsite), Capanelle (Bergerie and U'Renoso refuge) and Bavella village. I also saw a crude charging station in the Bergerie de l'Onda (A solar power powered extension cable on the window ledge!) but taking a spare battery for the camera is a good option. As for the tablet, you might want to leave it behind as it's quite heavy. Your pack needs to be 12-13kg max without water.
