Confirmed nightly incursions at Prati

Hi,

I just had confirmation from an Italian guy who has walked the GR20 South this past summer (2014), that a wild pig (or boar) is regularly visiting the campsite at Prati, breaking into tents and looting backpacks and food supplies. Apparently the thing is so severe that the guardien encourages all hikers to bring all their packs with everything inside the hut for the night.

I know that posting this on 22nd October is a little late, but ...

The dogs at Prati that I found troublesome when passing through are obviously not strong enough to keep these 'porkers' at length.....I had them (the snarling dogs) following me last year when going down to Col de Verde.
Col de Verde is an option for campers although not such a fine place to camp!
The first time we camped at Verde we had some porkers routing about in the woods below the camping area but never coming near to the tent....not so last year.

That must have been our intruder... I doubted it was a fox, because foxes don't seem to be strong enough to pull a backpack right trough a tent. Darned pig!

Sorry to hear that, Jennka. Must have been a terrible experience.
