In your experience, do any hotels, bars or refuges offer electrical outlets or USB power?
I am taking a battery that is probably sufficient to make the hole trip, but it would be nice to know back-ups. I will be testing the Gaia tracking feature on the the iPhone and it consumes more power that I would like.

Some places will let you charge things, and some won't. Some will ask for money, and others will let you do it for free. You just have to ask every time you get somewhere. You could take an additional power pack, or a small solar unit. I saw one guy hiking last year, and his entire pack was covered in solar panels.

Hello, I just completed south-north June 7-21. There is an opportunity to charge at minimum each third night, oftentimes successive nights. Four days of battery capability is a very safe estimate.
