Post-hike baggage transfer - Bastia-Calvi

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere (have tried search function but no results), but wondering if anyone has info on transporting some baggage from Bastia airport to a hotel in Calvi. We're arriving this Sunday (19th) and heading down south by bus to walk south-north, but wanted to send some post-hike kit straight to Calvi... any ideas? We'd hoped to send via train for collection at Calvi station, but we've heard security measures may be an issue with luggage being held at a station. Is poste restante an option, or DHL etc (to our pre-booked hotel in Calvi)? Any info/ideas much appreciated - thanks!

Ask the Hotel.... maybe they have a pick-up at the airport that could include your luggage?

Send it by train from Bastia station but I guess it would be held in the station at Calvi until you arrive there. Would the Hotel maybe uplift it from the station?

Thanks Gaffr - we wondered about the station option, but I'd read somewhere that security issues meant that stations were no longer 'holding' baggage. Does anyone know if that's the case? If it's possible, that would work fine for us - we're getting into Bastia on Sunday morning and not getting the bus south until Sunday afternoon, so would have time to visit the station with our surplus bag. At the end of the trip, we'll collect from Calvi as and when possible, depending on the time of day etc.

Hello,
On our first trip to Corse my wife did leave some kit not needed en-route at the station in Bastia to collect after reaching Conca ( using the bus in the opposite direction) and returning for our flight home at Poretta....that was in 2007....same today?
Not sure if the station is open all day Sunday? at the time/date that we travelled there was just one train to Calvi around 1800 hrs.
Contact with rail service in Corse maybe?

Just a FYI - we've made arrangement through a friend of a friend now, but prior to that I called DHL in the UK and spoke to a v helpful assistant who suggested:
1 - call the French DHL number (which she provided)
2 - for non-French speakers, just ask for an English-speaker (she said their policy is to always have an English speaker on duty)
3 - get a quote for an internal Corsica delivery, having provided weight and dimensions of bag/package etc, and ask for the quote to be saved with a ref number
4 - when in Corsica, call DHL again and give the quote reference number, book the collection, and ask to pay 'cash on collection' to the driver (you need the exact amount, as drivers don't carry change).

Anyway, not sure if that might be of use to anyone or not, but at least it's an alternative if you want to send some 'end of trek' baggage somewhere (we'd have sent from Gite la Tonnelle to a hotel in Calvii). Another option, of course, is to send kit from the UK by a company like interparcel - we left it too late, but it seems a 5kg box would cost about £30.

Thanks Gaffr for the suggestions and info above, appreciate your help.

Off to Bastia on Sunday :-)
