We are arriving in Bastia [by ferry] on Friday morning [5th August] and will need some gas canisters. I have both the French blue stove for 'gaz' and the European screw in variety for primus / MSR canisters. I want to get the 08.30 bus to Ste Lucie and then bus / walk to Conca - camp one night and then start the route first thing on Saturday. QUESTION :- Is there anywhere on route / timetable I can buy gas, either very early in Bastia or later at Ste Lucie or the Gite at Conca? Plus other small supplies like a tube of milk, insect repellent etc.

I have seen full gas canisters of all types left at Paliri by north to south trekkers who didn't want to carry them any more. I don't know if this still happens. I think more and more people start in the south each year, so more and more abandoned supplies might be picked up than in earlier years.

Thank you, will be on the lookout should I not be able to buy before I start.
