Hey all. Thx for the site...great info!

I am planning on finding my way to Corsica for a bit of hiking this late spring/early summer and was wondering the possibility of walking about 5-6 days the Mare e Monti and then hitting the beach!

For the walk, though, is it easy enough to bail at any particular stages? Are some better than others?

Also, can I expect to be able to find food/lodging each night?

Thanks again for all your help in advance!

Hello,
There is plenty of scope for grand days out on the Mare e Monti. The route has ten stages and you can, I guess, opt in and out as you wish.
On the occasion of our visit we travelled from Calinzana down to Porto Vecchio taking in three of the routes on the island. The road that the bus takes run parallel to much of the Mare e Monti route so you are not too far from reaching the road from the walking trail.
We used the French Topo Guide, entre mer et montagne for information which has lineal maps of the routes.

Some images of the terrain.
The images down to Evisa will give you a flavour of the trail.
