Hi,

We leave this saterday from calenzana for the north of the gr20 and are wondering if crampons and/or piolet is still needed?

Randoblog didn't update since 19 may so newer news would be welcome.

Thanks in advance

Hello,
If possible start in the South from Conca and travel without the technical stuff....lighter pack and when you reach the North what will it be...4th or 5th of June at area prior to Manganu Poles should be what you need. No two years are exactly alike. I began from the South in 2013 on the second of June and poles were all I needed. But then no Northern descent from area of Cintu to reach Ascu...different route for that stage then.

Thanks for the reply. It's true that the conditions are changing everyday but we only got a week and the plan was to do the Northern section.
