Corsematin reports that on 30 May a hiker around 30 attemping to climb up the north face of M. Cinto with no crampons, slid down for 40 meters without reporting any damage. He was rescued by helicopter on the Pointe des Éboulis by the PGHM men.

He slid for 40 meters? I slid for 600 meters down that slope. It was planned, of course, and I had an ice axe. It was much better than my other two trips, where I came down the steep stones very very slowly.
