Anyone know the chances of ascending Monte Rotondo from Timozzu, around 20th May ?

Maybe alternative suggestions for 2-day hike just west of Corte ?

Thank you, Regards

It will all come down to the amount of snow still around on that date perhaps.
Keep in touch with the PNRC blogspot for information put onto the site by the 'Parks' folks out in the mountains.
Although I must say that nothing has been forthcoming since their last report on the 21st, of February.
That report was from the area around Petra Piana....on the other side of the mountain from your intended approach.

Chances are dim, too much snow this year.
Try to stay below 6000ft (~1800m) and that will be fine, there are many possibilities for 1- to 2-day hikes west of Corti. Just follow the "purple" paths:

I climbed it in the first week of June one year. The lake was completely frozen and the slopes were covered in deep snow with some icy patches. It was possible to reach the summit but it needed care. I don't think I would have made it earlier in the year with more snow and ice on the ground.
