Hi all.

Couple heading to Corsica for 7-10 days tomorrow. We are staying in Castirla tomorrow night but beyond hat have no plan. We are both avid hikers with kit but do not have snow gear (crampons, ice axes). We have a car and are looking to do a bunch of hiking/exploring. I know the f20 is by passable yet but curious if we could do parts and double back? Long story short, what would you recommend as a mid-May itinerary for a very active couple? Our trip is open ended so we don’t need to timebox the stay.

Thanks
Charlie

Hi Charlie,
Boy, you're leaving it late to get a plan together, but just for starters....
Take a look at SQFP'S route description from May 13th on the Forum thread 'Randoblog update'. From the Niollu valley over to Puscaghja,Tuarelli or Galeria , then maybe Tra Mare e Monti to Evisa and Mare a Mare Nord back over to the Niollu, possibly via GR20, Lac du Nino, Manganu and A Sega. Or hack out a few daywalks with the info at hand
Steve.

Thanks Steve. That is exactly what we needed. One more question, we are in Corte in the tourism office and they can't seem to tell us what is included at the Sega and Manganu refuges (Sleeping bags/linen, food, water, etc.). Do you happen to know?

As an aside, they tourism office indicated that the reservation site has changed to: http://www.pnr.corsica/

Thanks for the help.

Hi again Charlie.
You'll certainly need sleeping bags, I think for all your overnights, but food and water will be available at A Sega and, assuming the refuge is manned, also at Manganu.
Have a great trek.
Steve.
PS. How's the weather looking.
