Snow is no longer a problem. The only issue there is the missing refuge at Asinau (burnt 2 years ago).

SQFP, I take t from your post that it is now clear on the nOrthern Section of the GR20, so no need for crampons etc.

Only the southern part is ok. Still a few snowfields here and there... requiring time and caution. Still, some dumb hiker had to get rescued near Usciolu on monday:

In the Rotondo and Cinto ranges (= the northern part) mountain guides reported two days ago about how sloping snowfields are still a hindrance above 2000m (around Capitellu/Porte and Falu/Cintu as usual).
Only yesterday a man injured himself (dislocated shoulder) after slipping in the snow near Bocca Crucetta - five rescue workers and a helicopter had to take risks in unclement weather to airlift the guy.

edit: above Calinzana (near A Muvrella, as Gaffr noted) 3 days ago: https://reho.st/self/a98ebe670168e369b0d748e495bbe730f7bd8c96.jpg
(can you spot the little guys in the snow? what if it starts to rain?)

Hello SQFP,
There are not many images available for the current conditions on the North....I just would hope that folks currently on the trail could get back some reports and images.
I do recognise this image...your second one..above the lac de la Muvrella (between Carozzu and Haut Ascu) with the weathered rock of the north american native perched above the slot.....the conditions here were similar during our passage here in 2008.
