Ajaccio to either end of the GR20, on a Sunday

Hello all,

I am faced with a dilemma -- due to the way my travel arrangements have played out, I will wake up in Ajaccio on Sunday, June 23rd. I have the entire day to get to either end of the trailhead. I think it makes more sense to try and get to the southern terminus at Conca.

I know that there is no public transport on a Sunday. What's my best bet to get from Ajaccio to Porto Vecchio? Is hitchhiking the only viable option? If i can make to Porto Vecchio, it's *only* a 4-hour walk to Conca. :)

Thank you in advance!
Charlie

Hello... There must be a train at some time on a Sunday that would get you with a change at Ponte Vecchio to get you to Calvi then a taxi up to Calenzana.

Brilliant idea! I will take the train from Ajaccio to Ponte Leccia, and from Ponte Leccia to Calvi. Calvi to Calenzana -- I can walk or hitchhike. Thank you so much my friend! :)

I looked it up! There's one at 8:40am from Ajaccio to Calvi. As long as there's one, I'll catch it!
