Can I make a 5 days route?

Hi there,

I only have 5 days altogether, leaving from Nice and back. Do you know if it is possible to do a decent part of the GR20? ( planning to do this starting 1st of May )

Cristian,

If you will sail or fly from Nice to Calvi and won't hire a car, you can walk the first two stages from Calenzana to Refuge de Carrozzu and come back to Calenzana across the cirque and forest of Bonifatu. See the map of the first stage for details. If you hire a car though, you can do a lot of one-day or two-day trips that include parts of the GR 20, for instance:

Forestier de Bonifatu - Refuge d'Ortu di u Piobbu - Refuge de Carrozzu - Forestier de Bonifatu (see the 1st stage)
Calasima - Bergeries de Ballone - Paglia Orba (see the 5th stage)
Col de Vergio - Lac Nino
Bergeries de Grotelle (in the Restonica Valley above Corte) - Lac de Melo - Lac de Capitello (see the 7th stage)
Vizzavona - Cascades des Anglais - Monte d'Oro - Vizzavona (see the 9th stage)
