Hotel in Calenzana

Am travelling with son (who is more experienced than me) to tackle the GR20 and will arrive in Calvi on June 18. I gather we can catch a taxi from the airport but do we need to pre book a hotel in Calenzana and if so, are there any recommendations. I would prefer not to stay in the hostel as I fancy a final bit of pampering before I start what will, for me, be a real test of endurance. ALso, are there other forms of accommodation along the route other than the refuges?

You should definitely book a hotel in advance. You can find a wide selection of hotels and other holiday accommodation in Calenzana here.

With the exception of Castel de Verghio and Vizzavona, there are no hotels along the GR20, only refuges and bergeries.
