Cooking facilities for campers

Apologies if we're repeating questions already asked, but I can't find a precise answer to this one. We're doing the GR20 in September, and planning to use tents at most refuges' campsites, just staying indoors every three days or so. When camping, can we order meals from the guardians in the evening, and can we either get breakfast or at least get tea water from the kitchens? In fact, can we dispense with stoves and cooking implements altogether except maybe for a mug?

Meals can be ordered from the guardian. Officially campers cannot use the kitchens but in practice there seems to be no issue. There are gas rings outsidefor campers to use. I suggest you take one pot in which to cook. No need for a stove unless you want a cup of tea in bed.

Does the recommendation for using the gas rings outside the refuge instead of stove applies for all refuges?

How likely is it that the campsite will be over crowded in mid September with a long line for using the gas ?

Applies to all refuges I've been to. Unlikely to be a long line. Lots of campers take their own stoves.
