Food supplies in late September

My husband and I are doing the GR20 south to north from 20 sept. to 4 oct. 2009. We will be taking a tent and some emergency food supplies (2-3 days), but no stove or cooking equipment.

Could someone please advise on the availability of food supplies and meals along the route during this period?

Also, what is the weather / temperatures likely to be?

We intend to hitch hike from Figari airport to Conca (or at least Ste-Lucie de Porto Vecchio) on Sat. 19 sept. to avoid an outrageous taxi fare. Has anyone done this, is it fairly straightforward? (I am a native french speaker)

Many thanks.

Julie

Have a look at 'Porto Vecchio to Conca' on page 2 and 'GR20 in September' on page 3

Julie - my friend and I are doing the same itinerary as you this year (2010) just wondering how it went and what advise you could offer in regards to getting to Conca etc. What are your thoughts about travelling north... were you able to complete the entire route etc. How was the weather?

Its doubtful you'll check this site again, (grin) but i thought i'd give it a try just in case... (wink wink)
