Hello - I'm planning a short family hiking excursion or so out of Calvi in late April, coming by ferry from Nice. Would like to see the Cirque Bonifato and probably need to stay in an inn - will not have tents, etc. Looking for an inn where we could get in two long day hikes, be home for a decent dinner, etc.
Ideas?

There are plenty of hotels in and around Calvi, plus more as you head to Ile Rousse. Bonifatu is an easy drive from there if you are arriving with a car.

If you don't have a car (or even if you do), I recommend Vallecime (www.vallecime.com). They have two B&Bs and offer guided and unguided tours, with transportation to/from trails. Very knowledgeable and friendly native Corsicans who speak English and Italian (and French and Corsican). I'm not sure if their season starts as early as April, but it's worth asking at least. They will also know the best hikes to do given the spring conditions, etc.
