Transport from Figari airport to Calvi on Sat evening 7th August

Hi,

We are arriving at Figari airport approx 17:00 on Sat 7th August and hope to trek the GR20 (returning to figari for Sat 22nd).

If anyone wants to share costs on a one-way car hire to Calvi that evening, please shout..
I am guessing it would be a 3hr drive?

OR - if you have a better suggestion involving public transport and doing the GR20 from south to North I'd be keen to hear it. The public transport connections from Figari to Conca (with sat night in Porto Vecchio) seem to allow a Sunday morning start (thoughts anyone?)...

Any advice on Figari connections to Gr20 much appreciated!

You are looking at up to a five hour drive depending on which route you take. The easiest route is up to Porto Vecchio and then up the coast until you get to Alena where you turn onto the N200 into Corte and on to Calvi. You can go the direct route through Propriano but the driving is tough. Best of luck!

Cheers Dave - sounds like a mission... I guess thats an 11pm ETA in Calvi - Still works out quicker than flying into Calvi from the UK! Shame to do the drive in the dark but the extra day is going to come in handy.

Carhire booked now... Just need to get the kit list sorted.
