night temperature

Climate tables don't show mountain temps.
so, how likely is it to have less than 10°C in the mountains.
and what kind (temp. range) of sleeping bag do i need and would you advice to bring a headband (as even shown in the flag of Corsica!), down jacket, etc.?

thx

Well, that all depends on the time of year. In general, I would never assume that the temperature would not drop beneath 10°C. In the mountains, even in the summer, the weather could turn bad in a matter of minutes, so you always need to be prepared.
That said, I can tell you that during the beginning of October 2007 we had a temperature of around -4°C at Refuge de Petra Piana at night, and it snowed all night. During the previous day it was VERY cold when we walked there from Refuge Manganu, and still snowing half way the next day. Even sleeping in the hut was a bit hard without a good sleeping bag. I had a 12°C sleeping bag, which is intended for summer use, and wore extra layers to bed, and it was chilly.
I don't like headbands myself, so I can't advise on that, but I guess that if it were very hot during the day, it could come in handy.
As for a down jacket, maybe if you suffer from cold temperatures or walking during the off season.
