How much water?
Hi, My 14 year old daughter and I are going to be hiking the Sentier de la Transhumance mid-september. How much water do you carry with you? Are there streams that we can get water to boil? We are very adventurous but have never done a trek like this. Thanks for this great site!

Hi Stephanie,
As a rule of thumb you should carry drinking water for one day, i.e. about 1-1.5 litres per person. Sentier de la Transhumance is not so dry and hot as the GR20 though and you'll find water supplies not only in every stage end, but also along the way.
