Convent of Corbara

Saint Dominic Convent in Corbara (Couvent de Corbara) is formerly a Franciscan monastery built in 1430. Brothers of the Saint John’ community live there since 1855. Nowadays the convent is still a centre of spiritual life and visitors are wellcome.

Monastery is located 300 m above the sea level between Corbara and Pigna and at ten minutes by car from Ile-Rousse or Algajola. The photo shows the view from the Pigna village.
