Agriates Desert

The Agriates Desert (Désert des Agriates in French) is located in the North Corsica between Saint Florent and the Ostricone River.

They said the Agriates has been a rich culture land till the beginning of the 20th century, full of farms with thousands olive trees, lemons and figs. But after the World War I it began becoming depopulated and now it is dry, infertile and stony desert. Despite that, it still has a great charm for nature lovers and hikers.
