How to put a wallpaper on your desktop

PC running Windows (XP, 2000, 98, etc.)

To set up a photo as a background of your Windows desktop:

Find your desktop size in the list next to the background photo you wish to use as a wallpaper, then click on it. The picture will load in the correct resolution.
Ensure that the entire image has loaded. This may take some time.
Place your cursor on the image and press the right-hand mouse button.
Then click Set as Wallpaper (or Set as Background).

Mac

To set up a photo as a background of your Mac desktop:

Find your desktop size in the list next to the background photo you wish to use as a wallpaper, then Ctrl-Click on it.
Choose the option download link to disk and save it to a place you will remember.
Open the Appearance control panel and select the Desktop tab.
Drag the image on top of the control panel.
Click Set Desktop.
