This website is run by Marek Prokop, Czech Republic — marek@forhikers.com. It is a personal site about hiking in Corsica. There is no registration and no user account, so nothing you type is stored anywhere.
What is measured
The only measurement tool on this website is Google Analytics 4. It records the pages you visit, your approximate location from your IP address, your device and browser, and where you came from. It shows which parts of the site people actually read. Nobody can be identified by name from that data and it is not combined with anything else.
The processor is Google Ireland Limited; its terms are in the Google privacy policy. The data is kept for 14 months.
Cookies
Without your consent this website stores nothing on your device and sends Google no request at all — the measurement script is not even loaded into the page.
Once you give your consent, these items are created:

_gaand_ga_*— Google Analytics cookies that tell a returning visit from a new one. They expire after 13 months. -
cc_cookie— your choice in the consent banner, so that it does not ask again on every page. It expires after 6 months and is stored only once you decide, whether you accept or refuse.
How to change or withdraw your consent
At any time, for any reason and with no consequences, through the
button, which is also in the footer of every page. Once you withdraw your
consent, the measurement stops immediately and the _ga* cookies
are deleted.
Other servers this site talks to
Pages with a map load map tiles from OpenStreetMap, which means your IP address reaches its servers. This happens only on pages that show a map, it needs no cookie and it is not used to measure anything. Search runs entirely in your browser and sends your queries nowhere. Everything else — images, styles, scripts — is served from this website.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority, which is the supervisory authority for this site. Write to marek@forhikers.com.
