Getting to Corsica by air

Most flights to Corsica depart from France and are operated either by Air France or by CCM Airlines (Air Corsica). There are not many scheduled direct flights to Corsica from other countries but France -- just a few from UK, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland. On the other hand, you can fly to Marseille, Nice or Toulon from almost anywhere and then continue by a ferry.

If you don't care much about budget, simply find and book your flight via on-line services like Kayak or with your favourite major airline (Air France, British Airways, Lufthansa etc.). However, if you are looking for as cheap flights as possible, check out the low-cost airlines listed below or search for charter flights that many local airlines offer in summer.

Direct flights to Corsica

Thanks to Thomsonfly most cheap flights are available between Corsica and United Kingdom. In addition Germanwings offers two flights from Germany, Transavia flies from Netherlands and JetairFly from Brussels and Duesseldorf. In the following table all operators but Air France and CCM (Corsica Airlines) are low-cost ones.

Low-cost indirect flights & ferry

The following table lists low-cost airlines (except British Airways, Czech Airlines, Alitalia and Delta) operating between many European cities and French or Italian ports, where you can take a ferry to Bastia, Calvi, Ile Rousse, Ajaccio, Propriano or Port-Vecchio (more about ferries to Corsica). Pick Nice, if you can, because it offers the most frequent and fastest crossings to Corsica's western coast. Pisa is the worst option, because you have to go by train to the port in Genoa or Livorno from there.
